may e it's my iPad , but when I put in my password that I started with it was not working, and now I use a new password and that's when I have nor received any notifications.

    Go to your profile (by clicking on your name) and check the settings.  You may need to check or uncheck some boxes to get the notifications in your email.  Personally I don't like my inbox filling up with notifications and just use the list available to me on this page.
