No more PMR? What to do with Pred?

I don't really know if I'm finished with PMR, since I still have a lot of pain. But the dr. thinks this pain is now mostly fibromyalgia with osteoarthritis, too. I have a feeling she is right now, but I still take the prednisone 25mg and feel like I need it. But probably I don't, since it isn't helping me much. The dr is suggesting I take humira shots. I haven't researched that yet. Anybody have experiences?

Why Humira? Humira isn't recommended for PMR because the risks outweigh any possible benefits and it also isn't on any lists for OA or fibromyalgia. So what is she really thinking?

Sending a link by PM to an article which gives quite a lot of info about Humira. Unless you have a definite diagnosis of some ailment which is known to respond positively to Humira I think you would be well advised to avoid it. Obviously it is helpful for some conditions, but none of those seem to be in your particular suite of possible ailments. Here is a quotation from the article:
Polymyalgia Rheumatica (PMR). EULAR/ACR guidelines for the management of PMR (2015)
strongly recommend against the use of TNFis for treatment of PMR.This recommendation is based on
lack of evidence for benefit as well as considerable potential for potential harm.

Thank you Eilleen and Anhaga. I think I should say no, too, to humira.
