Can't speak for everyone but I know I don't have the experience or knowledge of what to expect coming off. From what I've read it varies by person but the stuff you've described sounds normal for those who start tapering off. I hope you don't get discouraged as there are many wonderful people here.

I wish I could help but I can't cos I know nothing about tapering off. Im sure someone will read your post and give you some answers Demi. Most people on here seem to be increasing not decreasing but I'm guessing the side effects are pretty gruesome either way.

    Good luck and keep posting

What does your doctor say ?? That’s the best advice however like all of th discussions about coming off the drug it advises to reduce slowly, I would personally do it in increments of 25mg for 4-6 weeks then reduce again by 25mg this will give your body time to adjust and also you will be able to assess see how your mental health is with a reduced dose every 4-6 weeks. I would also say that the group does help people however there is also lots of information online and in the group so you always have a resource of information available to you to enable you to make an informed decision

I took Zoloft for 8 years and stopped it 3 years ago. My doctor tapered me from 100 to 50, then 50 to 25. It was brutal and I ended up on celexa for a few years, I’m just getting started back on Zoloft. I think I’m a lifer when it comes to these meds.
