no period for three years with implant, suddenly started again after being replaced

I originally had the implant when i was 16, i am now 19 and have recently had it replaced. In the time that I had the first implant i had no period, after having it replaced around a month ago i have had a period on and off. it is quite dark and mucusy. is this somehting i should be concerned about or is this normal?

    Visit your doc or a nurse to get checked out.  Unusual bleeding or discharge should always be checked out.  It is probably nothing but best checked out.

      Thanks, i've made an appointment so hopefully they will be able to shed some light on the situation.
