No sleep problems for me..

I see sleep problems seem to be high on the fibro list but i have no problems with sleep. I can nap during the day and still go to sleep at 10pm. I am a light sleeper and im easily woken but i just fall back to sleep straight away.

Does this mean i dont have fibro? Im still not convinced i do.

My other symptoms:

Fatigue

IBS

Depression/anxiety

Years of facial/dental pain

Wrist pain

Hip/groin/back pain

Dizzy

Growing pains / restless leg

Sinus problems

Aching joints

These were all my symptoms and after heaps of tests and going to the physician, i was diagnosed with fibro then left to it! Im still confused and dont think it is fibro....

    Hi FlowerFace,

I am the same. I have no problem sleeping at night even if I nap in the day.

I also have other symptoms such as hip/knee/shoulder/elbow stiffness and pain, dizziness, anxiety, brain fog, restless legs, headaches and fatigue (amongst others)....

I often query myself whether it's fibro....

You're not alone but it would be nice to know for sure......

I have the sleep problems but I don't, thankfully, have IBS. I think some people have some of the symptoms and others have others. A couple you haven't mentioned are cold hands and feet, pins and needles in hands and feet and costochondritis. Do you have those?

Yes I often have cold hands and feet. Also I get really hot in the night especially my legs so the pj trousers are off....!

Hi, I think there are quite a few of us who wonder if we really have FM. On good days I start questioning it, then on bad days I think I must be mad to even consider that I might not have it! I was diagnosed by testing positive to most of the 'trigger points' on the chart. Plus my history of course. Have your trigger points been checked? Otherwise your symptoms could all be due to FM. As Bluesman says, we don't ALL have ALL the same symptoms. Hope this helps. xx

Hi Flowerface, it's not the length of sleep which is a factor of fibro but the quality, ie level 4 or deep sleep which our bodies need to repair our muscles during the night when we are relaxed.

Hello Bee, just to say that I, too, suffered night sweats, but my GP put me on a very mild dose of a Beta Blocker ( Propranalol ) which is also recommended for menopausal sweats , anxiety and a whole host of other things. They have worked very well for me.

      Hi Wendy

The thing is I have been checked with my bloods to see if I'm going through the menopause and at the moment I am not. So don't know why I get night sweats.
