No stent removal

I had a follow up appt & the Dr planned to take out the stent. Unfortunately the antibiotics he prescribed didn’t help and I developed an infection. I’m on stronger antibiotics and he says maybe the stent can be removed next week. I’m so disappointed and upset with myself.

I am sorry to hear what you are going through.  I have had stones.  The last one I had they put in a stent.  I had never had a stent before and I could not stand it.  I called the doctor and asked them to remove it way before the date they planned on doing it.  I was so relived to get it out of there.  I drink raw, unfiltered, organic apple cider vinegar with some water regularly.  Drink water with real lemon juice.  Never drink colas.  I have been stone free for quite a while- hopefully forever.  Once that stent is out you will feel better.

Thank you. I drink lots of water normally. Before all this started I usually drank 1 or 2 cups of tea & once in a while iced tea. Since all this started I haven’t had any thing to drink but water with lemon & and I had 2 cups of herbal tea.

I feel your pain. I had the dreaded stent for 7 weeks. Absolutely barbaric. Couldnt sit, stand, lay down for constant pain despite voltarol dihydrocodeine and morphine. No way could i go to work. Stay strong..once it was out i felt instant relief.

I removed the stent myself on Sunday after talking to the dr. It was easy & no pain. Unfortunately 2hours later I had to go to the ER because of kidney & ureteral spasms. I’m hoping the worst is behind me & I can get back to normal.
