I've rung around 100 different pharmacies in SW London (Wimbledon, Morden, New Morden, Sutton, Raynes Park, Worcester Park, Richmond, & Kingston) and none of them have any or are expecting any stock again for the foreseeable future.
First time I've been prescribed them, but concerned as I've been trying to lose weight for over a year, and only just convinced the doctor to try something else other than changing my diet! Unfortunately I'm in a wheelchair, so exercise is limited at best.

I have been using them for 18 months and this is the truth, they work, they really do work. At first the loss was not that significant, then I made changes to my diet, bearingin mind I did not eat crisps, sweets or chocalty products, well not that often, I cut out all sugar and took a multi vit capsule every day, but, after a while I noticed the clothes were getting loser, I was more agile, which, then helped me get out and about and become more physically active, to the degree in one month (Feb this year) I lost 7KG, yes 7kg in one month, and then the supply stopped. All in all I have lost over 46KG I wieghed in originally at 27 stone and now hit the 18 stone mark, I do carry the weight well and am a very muscular person anyway so the effects of being overweight do not affect me as bad as they do other people and being 6ft the height also helps. But now I am determined to lose another 30kg to get to around 15stone with which I will be happy, however, since stopping the pills I have LOST yet another 4kg on my own merits, I just want to speed the process so that I can at last do what I have dreamed of doing for years and that is to make a parachute jump. My target was for this September but due to the supply problems hat is not going to happen so have set a new approx time of May next year. So my tips are these, stay close to a loo, make changes to your diet, and only eat when hungry, plus drink water, lots of it and do not foget the vitamin pills, these tablets WILL deplete your natural reserves and so the vit tabs will help to supplement the body and try to get active, somehow, even if just for a long walk, it all helps. If you can join gym even better the weight will fly off, but do not go mad with it, be realistic, the main thing is to lose the weight slowly(ish) and keep control of it, otherwise if you stop the weight will just pile on again.

I popped into my local chemist yesterday and my partners auntie works there. I was struggling to get my last prescription and she knew about it but i managed to get it from a different pharmacy last week. She told me that they had 20 boxes delivered yesterday and that they were execting regular small deliveries now. Obviously its goin to take a while for them to get back to normal as theres backlogs.
Also i just want to mention something in relation to Riks post from earlier, he gave some tips and said to stay near a toilet at all times. I dont think thats right. Rik if you need to stay near a toilet you are eating too much fat. I have been on the tablets for nearly 6 weeks and havnt had to deal with anything like that and iv lost weight. I think its because im eating the correct amount of fat. I spoke to my nurse and dietition on Monday and they both said if you are having any bad side effects its because your eating too mch fat. Im actually suprised by how much food you can eat. is anyone else?
