Hi Nicole,
Although I do have white patches on my vaginal area, early in the fall I developed blisters in between my butt cheeks. There were no white patches, and my doctor said she didn't think it was related. But, others in this forum confirmed my suspicion that it was indeed ls. And, since that time, a white patch has appeared in that area.

I have LS and only found out when I read my lab tests. Unfortunately the DR I saw evidently did not believe this was a real thing.
Even though the lab test said in no uncertain terms Lichen sclerosis. I took it upon myself to get a different DR that not only knew what it was but had experience in the matter.
Sometimes you have to be your own advocate.

HI!
I am the same not white patches but have L S my minora was very white and thin then disappeared even using the dermovate on that area. I do have blistering and ukceration and redness both sides of the vestibule that dont go away. About two months ago in between my bottom I got blistering and ulceration. I am 53 and thats the first time I have had it, only thing that worked was Sudocrem on it, its gone now though. It took ten people to diagnose me, interstingly the GUM clininc were the people to straight away tell me I had it. If you are struggling for help they are very good and so empathetic with you. The dr checks me there once a year now as the NHS in my area at the hospital stopped yearly checks and she does it to reassure me nothing is changing too bad.

Hi,
I wouldnt say it was white patch my minora underneath both sides was white as a fridge and the ridges above were white but in a type if puffed up way as if it had pus inside but didnt. I think that the puffed up thing either sides was the L S I got referred to the hospital and got given clob the white did go at the time and a tide mark appeared all the way around the majora which because I saw it so quick and put clob on it went browney black then everything went pink. Fast forward six months the minora disappeared and so the ridges at the too either side of the clitoris did its just flat now. I use the clob for maintenance like you do with excema, tbh I get obsessed and check every day nothing is white. Im post meno so some of the loss is oestrogen deficiency there too x

I have never had white patches, just itching to start with, then tingling followed by fusing at which point LS was diagnosed by a gynae. It was my persistance that got diagnosis as my GP was unconvinced to start with. So trust your instincts.

I am in the US so our health care is different. I have been down a long road with this.
I also have a tumor on my pituitary gland so until they found that, I felt they considered me a hypochondriac. One Doctor even said to me , "You sure see a lot of specialists." I replied that I did not know there was a limit. Asked him which ones he thought I could stop seeing because my life goal certainly was not to collect Doctors.
One of the issues caused by my pituitary tumor is hypothyroidism. So it sounds logical the thyroid could be linked to LS.
If I had not taken matters into my own hands I never would have been properly diagnosed and treated. With any of the what they call "multiple modalities" My care is now coordinated with an Internal Medicine Doctor.
The Internet has actually been a useful tool for me.
I joined this forum because it was the only one I found that has very much information on LS. Through it all the support and advice have helped me tremendously.
Always seek a different opinion if you feel the one you've been offered does not sit right with you. We know our own bodies best.
Sorry such a long reply. But I send you my best wishes on this journey.
