I'm having a problem that is scaring me to the point I can no longer focus and now I have a habit of taking my blood pressure and pulse basically my pulse won't stay the same it's constant changing it can be 81 150 179 66 within seconds it's does this all day long I got sent home from hospital the other day because they deemed it as not serious my heart rste was high during standing it's still happening now but seems to be getting worse the scary thing is I'm feeling well in myself apart from the odd shortness of breathe and chest pain my heart rate is constantly changing I know they must be thinking anxiety as all blood work was OK ecg was abnormal but they said it still came back ok !

I don't know what to do I feel mental like it's all in my head even though it's not nobody can explain what's happening and nobody seems concerned ??? I'm going private but that could take time top I don't feel like I have "time "

I completely understand how you feel. The people saying everything is fine and you know something is not right. Happens a lot in hospitals and doctors offices. Anxiety surely doesn't help. But it's really hard not to be anxious over it. I get anxious over B/P and my pulse rate and it just makes mine worse. So I sit still and do deep breathing and relaxation and everything won't go to completely normal , but it does get somewhat better. I know you may not think this is any help , but it's about all I can say. I'm kinda in this boat with you. Hope someone else reads this and can come up with a better answer than I. When you do find out more about what's going on , post back. It could help a lot of people.

    Hello,

I am doing the same thing. I even bought my personal portable ECG monitor. Now I take my blood pressure, my ECG and heart rate constantly. In my case it all started from having nightly SVT attacks. My heart rate would go out of control. I got prescription for a beta blocker medication and now I am able to control my heart rate. In your case it may be just an anxiety event. Ask your doctor to prescribe you an anti anxiety medication. Use it as pill in a pocket to control your anxiety. Also ask your GP to test your blood for any difficiencies especially magnesium. Most modern test fail to properly measure for magnesium levels in blood and in cells unless you pay for specialized magnesium level test. Magnesium is responsible for proper function of the heart muscle among other things. I am taking magnesium supplements and it helps my heart to calm down. If you do suffer from anxiety find the root cause. It could be your work or family cituation, personal health concerns. Once you find it address it and your anxiety and heart rate issues will resolve.
