Nodule

I'm walking unassisted now after ankle surgery but I noticed a week after starting fwb that a small nodule appeared in my arch. It doesn't hurt for the most part. I do get some burning and now I have discomfort in my big toe as well especially walking bare footed. I still don't have full range of motion in my ankle and as my foot gets tired I limp more noticeably. This does cause some discomfort in my arch where the nodule is located. Anyone else get this once you started fwb?

Hi Grayson Sha! That is great that you are walking unassisted! I am finally able to do so myself after 3 months! I too start limping when my foot gets tired. I have to be aware of how I walk, because if I walk a certain way my knee feels funny. Anyhow, I would check with your doctor regarding the nodule. Maybe it is some kind of a blister. I hope it goes away soon so you can easier walk Grayson!

    Hi,

I started  FWB this week with my air boot after a hellish 12 week experience with a bad break and three surgeries.

I don’t have a nodule in the arch but noticed there was a lump of sorts on the top of my foot near my ankle. I tore tendons in addition to the ankle fracture so I was concerned about the plate and the tendons. My PT said not to worry about the lump or the numb feeling in my toes and it does go away after icing and elevation.

I would call the doctor or ask your physical therapist. My PT has been very helpful.

I hope you continue to improve.

Hi Grayson, I have the same thing. I was told it was plantar fasciitis. I am 7 months post foot fusion. My doctor told me I probably had it before my surgery but because I was walking on the in side of my foot I never noticed it. I'm still in physical therapy and so my physical therapist did a stem on it and it dramatically got smaller, however it did not go away. Great job on getting better keep at it it's a long process let me know if you have anymore questions.
