Non diabetic hypoglycaemia with hiatus hernia & gallstones

Not diabetic according to tests thankfully but have suffered low blood sugar episodes since gallbladder attacks started up a few months ago and eating well has become compromised. Had the paramedics out on one occasion as thought might be heart attack. Can manage but may need gallbladder removal surgery and wondered how the fasting before and not being able to eat for hours will go, as currently have to have something little and often or go shaky and faint. Anyone been in this situation?

Hi Cynthia,  They would make sure you were given IV  med so you would not become hypoglycemic, and monitor you carefully.  Good luck with your surgery.    Elinor

If your eating as normal then it will need to be looked into to see if excess insulin
