Does anyone use a moisturizer that isn't greasy? The amount of ointment I use soaks through my clothing. How do you function in public? I go back to teaching on a few weeks and after only 2 weeks on steroids, I am not feeling much relief.

I only use oinment or coconut oil in the evening.  During the day I rinse with borax water ( three pinches in a Perin bottle that I carry in my backpack/slingpack)

?You write that the steroids don't give you much relief.  Try borax and read the discussion "An Experiment with Borax".  It has helped many.

I use Creme Complete available at. It is pricy, but so soothing! the Perrin relieved the itching and softened the skin. I have never had a problem with staining or greasy spots.

I also wear Heartfelt Bamboo reuseable cloth mendtral pads ( available on Amazon). They keep the area dry, are soft and comfortable and I never have to worry about my clothing becoming greasy. They are especially helpful in situations that are very hit and cause sweating.

The Perrin Creme Complete has relieved the itching... I have never used steroids but I think the Perrin is making the area more healthy as well as more comfortable!

I have had the same issues and wear a uniform for work so am very restricted. After many attempts I found a very thin soft light pad that protects my clothing. This particular pad has no affects at all where others have caused soreness or discomfort. I have just started using Borax this week and am applying twice daily AM and PM so only apply the coconut oil once a day at lunch time. I am not throwing my steroid ointment out as it has been really good for me but it does not unfuse fused tissue and this is what I am hoping for. All these treatments take a while so persevere but not if you are getting worse, then you have to consider an alternative.

Can you tell me the name of the pad? Or at least a more detailed description of it so I can hunt for it at a local store. I know that it has to 100% cotton and fragrance free. Thanks.

      Hello Vissy

The pad is made by body form. It is the Daily fresh, breathable. Comes in a bright green box and has a light adhering back. It is ultra soft and slim. I find it does not crease or have any harsh or stiff edges. I have tried so many and this is the only one that does not irritate in any way. It does not say what it is made of on the box but is described as like wearing cotton pants. I hate feeling wet or greasy in that area and this pad is snug and takes away that feeling. Hope this helps.

Did you look at the washable pads on Amazon ?they are called " Heartfelt Bamboo". They are all natural and reuseable.
