Non surgical experiences distal tibia fracture

Broke my distal tibia rolling my ankle during Pickleball on June 21. Thought it was a sprain, but due to intense pain, followed my gut and sought treatment two days later. Xray confirmed the fracture, but an MRI was needed for full diagnosis. I have an appt tomorrow to review results. I'm very anxious about the possibility of surgery. Anyone here have those sort of fracture that was treated non surgically?
