Nordic walking

Searching around on Google. Looked at Beryl's Cook paintings, etc. Interesting, but expensive....Looked at other painters. Very nice. Then an  What about Nordic Walking :?: Click ,click, and there it is ! :o I was interested and read all about it. It sounds a very interesting thing to do, for friends, open air, and all the good things it does for the muscles. I am sorry that I am so old. A few years less, and I would have joined at once. To find all about it, just click -Google, and then search, for Nordic Walking UK. I do not remember who does nordic walking,on the site, but it certainly is an enjoyable and healthy thing to do :!: All best. Granny Moss :P

I have really enjoyed it and my last one of this course of 6 is tomorrow
It has cost me £18 for the 6 run by Age Uk It is for people over 50 but in my class there are only 2 that age and the rest of us are 60+ some quite a bit older that that
They are running another course and I shall join that also They have lots of people wanting to join so I am not sure if it will be a beginners start again or not It is quite social also ( about 15 + each week ) and we usually have coffee afterwards I am managing it without too much trouble I have a few shoulder aches the next day but Im sure it is getting my upper arm muscles working again 3 miles tomorrow and meeting in a forest car park so hoping it wont be wet like today !!
I think there are quite a few Age uk groups around the country and private groups of course I prefer this one as they taking account of peoples ages so if you arent so fit its fine The poles are £45 a set and a local super lux elderly care home ( £2000 a week !!!!!!) has paid for these and the trainers training
So I would recommend it I had to give up my exercise as it was too much but I started back with a Drs referral class of gentle muscle rehabilitation and hope one day to get back to more like my normal fitness
Hope you and your husband are feeling Ok today and no more accidents I hope !!
Best wishes

I might try them out on the North Downs :o
I'm not sure whether they will go with my other purchase, arrived today from the Co-op. I have mentioned before that I can walk much further if I can just sit for a minute or two now and then. So I've got one of those walking sticks with a little flap down seat - for all those places where there aren't any benches! I think I'll need three hands
Heard today: [color=red:2c8f8060fe]Don't count the days, make the days count![/color:2c8f8060fe]Seems to apply particularlyto those on this site!
Good walking, ambling, crawling ( ) whatever, Green Granny

I and a few others turned up on the first lesson with walking poles !! Not knowing there was a difference !!
Then the following week a new lady joined ( not sure if she was french or Spanis ??) but she had her bamboo poles with spikes which she had used in the Pyrenees !!
As they had spikes they werent suitable but i also think the instructor said they werent really the right length for Nordic walking WSe only used our spikes last week for the first time when we met in the forest I think I will get some poles I can always stride arounds my fields !! When the weather is better I would need water skis at the moment !!
Good idea the walking seat
Best wishes

said: Told the manager at Thetford, to pay attention, and NO damaged goods in Mrs Moss order...and then he told me than in March, my deliveries would be arranged to come again from the store nearer me !....
I believe making a nuissance, but with nice words, a little chuckle, some praise and a \" I am so very upset at having all this stress,\"and I know that you are all trying to do your best....but you go on making me so miserable ....  My mother used to say : If one does'nt try, one does'nt get..... Well, I hope this will cheer you up a little. Today I have taken my last antibiotic. I felt very unwell, but do hope that sample water result will be OK. I get very depressed at times, I often think that my life is not worth bothering with. I sit there, not feeling pain, but being so terribly tired and I really want to do so many things ! I get so miserable and I think, what is the point...I am a little  on someone'shoulder... as my poor husband shoulders are quite worn out by now !....(he is a bit bony....) bless him !  Granny Moss xxx

Good on you for putting that supermarket in their place - food costs enough in the first place and you shouldn't be paying for damaged goods!
You may have read that I always drink a glass of freshly squeezed lemon juice in water first thing in the morning which acts as a detox and I think I mentioned in a recent post to you that it's excellent for any gastric problems.
Good news for you: yesterday I thought of you when I read that leon juice is also a great remedy for anyone suffering with a urine infection. Certainly I remember as a child when I suffered many bouts of cystitis before having my kidney removed, my dear Mum used to boil pearl barley, squeeze out the liquid, add some lemon juice and sugar to taste and it always did the trick, so maybe the lemon juice was as good as the barley! :?:
Do hope hubby's back is getting better.
Have a good - and safe - trip into town today.......no escalators!

Hope you have had a good day and enjoyed your lemons I used to have grated root ginger and lemon juice in hot water in the mornings but had forgotten about it lately with all the pills I take
My Italian brother in law and my nephew both love lemons and eat them like oranges so always need extra when they are staying
Take care of yourself
