I have white spots on the inside of my vagina which are itch as well as white discharge. Sorry if this is TMI but I also have like tingling in my anus. I was wonder if this was typical of genital herpes?

Not sure about the tingling, but all the rest applies. Stay strong-I know it stinks, but there's nothing we can do about our situation now except to try to keep ourselves as comfortable as possible.

It sounds like similar symptoms I had. Especially the tingling part. You probably should get checked if you haven't already been diagnosed.

There are a lot of nerve endings down there...might be the cause. Some people have them, others don't. All the white spots & itch & discharge unfortunately comes with this horrid mess.

White spots/patches, itching and white discharge are very typical of yeast infections, and yeast infections are far more common than even genital herpes, which is typically associated with blisters/ulcers, soreness/swelling and watery discharge, if any. But best thing is to get it checked out and tested.

White patches seem closer to a bad yeast infection, herpes tend to be more swollen, like tiny peas, and don't tend to turn white like that. I'd say get checked just in case, or wait depending on how comfortable you are. If you get yeast infections often and miconazole over the counter helps, get that. And make sure to keep the area dry. Do not scratch! A baking soda bath Cath relieve the pain and itch, just a cup or more of baking soda in the bath and be sure to wash out the tub before and after.
