Normal for herpes?

Can someone please tell me if it this sounds like a typical, in what they've experienced herpes outbreak?
About two weeks ago I got really red and extremely irritated on my vagina. About 4 days into this it moved upwards toward my clitoris. Then several red bumps appeared. The red bumps came and went without any pus drainage or extreme pain. No crusting. Nothing. Here we are two weeks later, and the same thing is happening again.
Does this sound like herpes? Allergies? Lichens? Folliculitis? Anyone? Please help!

Why are you worried it was herpes then, if your doc said that to you? Cannot be sure of anything, until swabbed.

Have you recently been sexually active? Best course of action is to go get swabbed, but needs to be done 48hrs when symptoms present. Blood test takes 3-6 months for antibodies to show, after a new infection.
Are you diagnosed w herpes or suspecting you have it?

Herpes presents differently in everyone and can change over time depending on factors such as stress, compromised immune system, lack of sleep, etc. It shows up in me differently quiet often.
The outside of your vagina has nothing o do w tampons. The severity of obs is what makes a difference in appearance. I just had an OB in a place I never had it before, in my groin and it just was a red patch and looked like a welt on one side.. No bumps. You're asking for a one size fits all description of herpes and there isn't one. I also had another OB and it was a single red bump. No ous, no blisters. Stop stressing.
