Normal gallbladder tests but severe pain where my Gallbladder is located

Hi, I'm curious if anone has had gallbladder symptoms yet every test comes back normal? I've been dealing with this for 6 year and now I'm to the point that I can't eat, nauseous all of the time and severe pain under my ribs on the right side and the same place in my back. Also, I have had a fever now for 2 1/2 weeks. I'm 99 % sure it's my gallbladder. Has anyone had theirs removed just based on the symptoms? Thanks.

No I wouldn't describe it like that. It's just a constant sharp pain under my ribs around into my back that gets a lot worse when I eat.

    Hello Linndzee296,

You may find this helpful.  It's very lengthy but also very informative and up to date.  I came across it when I was doing some research prior to my gallbladder removal (multiple gallstones and inflamed gallbladder).  If I had known some of the ways to prevent gallstones - diet, exercise etc, I would have saved myself a lot of pain and suffering! Luckily, I have not had any problems since the cholecystectomy at the beginning of June.

    Hi

I had all the symptoms if gb problems for years but whilst pregnant with my second stated Avin attacks once a week I was convinced it was something I was eating n went on a plain bland diet still didn't change anything then after I ad baby I ad all the test which was clear but I was still Avin these pains n ending up in A&E then they said my gallbladder didn't contract n removed it I thought that was it I would be cured but nope I'm still having the same pains I have seen loads of different specialist n finally I see one gi Dr n all of a sudden he has a diagnosis of sphincter of oddi disfunction n said I never needed gb out in now had my second lot of botox in the muscle n will have operation in October to hopefully be cured from years of suffering in pain I hope you get some answers n hopefully if it is ur gb they will remove it I think coz I ad waited for answer for so long was just easy to remove it but then the amount of time they would blame it on the bile ducts when I was still Avin pains was a joke would always blame it on that and never look into any other causes xx

My husband suffered for 10 years with the exact same thing...he passed out in the yard from pain... He had NO FINDINGS, 3 other people I KNOW had the same thing...he finally found a surgeon who said yes....the SURGEON said he couldn't believe my husband lived like that, it was the WORST HE HAD EVER SEEN AND WAS READY TO RUPTURE!! It sounds like gall bladder and if you have fever you could have an infection....DO NOT WAIT, GO TO DOCTOR....try to see a surgeon or try another doctor if they say NO...GOOD LUCK....HOPE YOU ARE BETTER SOON, by the way I just had gall bladder surgery for same symptoms but i had stones...what you are going through is torture, so sorry you have to go through this??
