NORTRYPTALINE WITHDRAWAL JOURNEY

Hello,

I have been on Nortryptaline for the past 6 years, I was prescribed this medication when I had been experiencing migraines after I was diagnosed with meningitis (viral) to help control the migraines. This was in 2015, since then I have not followed up with a neurologist or doctor until today. I was blindly refilling my prescription because I thought I NEEDED it. I have been feeling very still and flat for the past couple of years and never thought to think that maybe it is because of the Nortryptaline. I started at 25mg and have been consistent at 50mg for about 3 years now. I just visited my doctor and she advised that I cut down the amount of days I take the medication in order to get off of it slowly. Instead of 7 days a week, I will cut down to 5 days a week, those two days being Friday and Saturday just in case I feel withdrawals during the week. I have started to exercise at least 30 mins a day to help me prepare for the withdrawals, I am very nervous to go through this because it will effect my day to day routine, but I want to get off this medication completely. I have been getting this prescription refilled for the past 6 years because when I tried to stop, my migraines would be triggered, but I know that this could be because of the withdrawals. Now that I am more aware of what to expect, I am intending to push through the withdrawal and to let it pass.

If anyone has any advice on how to prepare myself more for this, I would appreciate any tips or help on this.

Thank you for your time.
