Nose bleeds

Hi I'm not sure if I should be posting this here but I thought I could get more information from here if any adults had this when they were children.

My 6 year old daughter has been suffering with nose bleeds now for two years. I spoke to the doctor when they first started happening and he said its common in children. She can easily have 8 nose bleeds in a month. She also snores a lot when asleep at night. She struggles to blow her nose aswel. Its as if she feels more comfortable sniffing up than blowing her nose.

Could there be something wrong with the inner upper part of her nose?

Should I take her back to the doctor?

    Hi,

As a young boy I had constant nose bleeds. At 8 years of age I had my tonsils removed, no difference whatever. Then aged 13 I had both nostrils cauterised, still no difference. Right through my life until about 10 years ago ,aged 57, did they stop bleeding. Of course the frequency went down to about 1-2 a month but sometimes a bleed could last a good few minutes.

Don't get to alarmed unless a serious loss of blood happens, it's usually just weak blood vessels inside of nostrils.

    Mike.

Yes bring her back to the doctor and try to see an EENT specialist to check too.

Has she been tested for alergies? I think I had a nose bleed once but not when I was a child! But I do remember when I blew my nose, I blew blood! I think I used vaseline  to  stop the bleeding. (But I really can't remember)  If she snores, she might have sleep apnea. Have her doctor check her out.
