Not A Good Start - Advice?

Posted , 2 users are following.

Hello again, this is Julie.

So, I did go to the hospital. I was recommended to see a neuro specialist which I am looking into getting an appointment with.

Basically over the 3 hours of testing and multiple talks, they told me nothing was wrong besides that I had weak muscles.

I call BS. Most would consider my legs beyond strong - elite figure skater until a four months ago as well as avid runner and climber.

Im kind of at the breaking point of this because I waited so long to go against my family's wishes.

Do you all have any advice for needing a diagnosis quickly but having doctors not be helpful?

Thanks.

    Hi Julie,

Can I ask what your symptoms are? I myself have seen over 20 doctors and specialists and no one can give me a answer to my problems. I dont even want to figure up how much money this has cost me for no relief..

      Andrew,

Sure. I am sorry to hear about your lack of a diagnosis.

I am 18, I have been in college for 2 semesters. Up until a few months ago, I was an elite figure skater who climbed, ran and did other sports. Since about 4 months ago, I have been having really bad leg strength, and control. Even simple things like walking from room to room in the apartment has become awful, I fall down and I have stopped trying to do many of the activities I grew up doing for fear of making whatever is making this change worse.
