Not anxious, tight throat and trouble inhaling

Hi,

I am 35, female. My symptoms started a week ago. All of a sudden I had trouble getting a good breath in, had a very tight throat, felt like I was choking and felt very anxious. Since then, the anxiety is completely gone. I meditate, do yoga, and have a very low stress life. But my symptoms, although a little better, has some bad moments. In the bad moments, I have a tight throat, and feel like I have to work so hard to get a breath in. Some breaths are satisfying, others are not. I was very active before this happened, but haven't been able to exercise since. It really is making me very upset.

Anyone else feel like this? My doc said it may be anxiety, but I literally have nothing to be anxious about, so can't believe this. Please HELP!

sometimes we can have underlying anxiety that we aren’t even aware of. Your symptoms are very common with anxiety. Even if it’s not that, there are things you can do to help yourself feel better. Practice some mindfulness breathing exercises found on YouTube. Proper breathing is the key to relaxing and feeling better. For people with anxiety, who have symptoms of rapid heart rate, breathlessness, etc. it’s the number one way to reduce those. feel better soon!
