Not endometrial hyperplasia! It should be vaginal atrophy!

I am wondering if anyone has had the same mistake on done on them! I had to do biopsies and when the doctor was taking the biopsies he realized everything was clean and clear and the endometrial lining was not thick at all. Now I am pretty sure that vaginal atrophy might be the case.

I had a bit of spotting(post menopausal) and I am felling pressure as if I am getting UTI and lots of pain during sex.

Any tips?

If it is indeed VA you can try home remedies like coconut oil, replens, or some water based lubes. I use a vaginal hormone, estrace cream and its put me back to fairly normal down there. Without treatment it only gets worse, talk to your doctor about it and see if he/she can do something. I didn't have much luck with over the counter moisturizers but a lot of women do.

A few things that may help, wash your panties in unscented detergent, no fabric softner, don't use soap to wash, just warm water bc our vaginas are self cleaning so to speak, wipe or pat dry front to back, unscented and no dye toilet paper, dont wear tight clothing so you can breathe down there. Also do your kegel exercises, google the proper method, there is a right and wrong way to do them which I didnt know until i went to pelvic floor physical therapy. Until you can talk to your doc try the coconut oil first, get the unrefined. Keep it in the fridge bc its easier to apply. Scoop some up with your finger and insert it then slather it on your outer bits too. Its a natural antibacterial and a great moisturizer. It just didn't work long enough for me but I still use it in between my estrace dosages. Good Luck!

How many years post menopausal are you? I am 2 years and yesterday had some brown discharge on the tissue. Hardly can see it. No spotting, no need for pad. Have Mirena and for first time in two year have some cramps. Will call doctor today but my vaginal area is so dry, itchy and burning on the surface. Painful during sex too.
