Not felt right for months, doctors say I’m fine

Posted , 28 users are following.

I haven’t felt myself for the past probably 6 months. Been in and out of hospital as I had heart palpitations and chest pains and then one day I felt like my face and arms were droopy/numb. Had many heart tests, ct scans, blood tests etc. All came back fine. I keep getting lightheaded and feel spaced out, get random pains/sensations, heart palpitations, headaches. Don’t know what else I can do. Anyone else feel like this? Only possible diagnosis is anxiety but I don’t think it is this as I know the difference.

    Hi Annie

I feel like that too sad

It’s horrible and u can’t enjoy anything bc ur terrified something is wrong

I had blood tests and ekgs. All normal. Dr said it’s anxiety and I have been seeing a therapist who also says it’s anxiety

I get heart palps for days sometimes and my heart flutters/skips beat. It’s the scariest thing.

Sometimes I get lightheaded and think I’m gonna pass out

Have u felt like this for a long time ?

Yeah for about 6 months sad feel like I’m going mad. Sometimes I can feel my heart and it’s beating really irregular for about a minute then goes normal again. Today I feel on and off lightheaded, breathless, chest pains. I’m going to ask the doctor to check my vitamin D as it’s the only thing I can think of that I haven’t been checked for. How long have you felt like this for?

I have had all the same symptoms. After thousands in doctors bills, I have finally accepted the diagnosis of anxiety and started taking anti anxiety meds. Still get lightheaded from time to time and had weird feelings. It comes when I am put in situations that trigger my anxiety. I think you should trust the doctors and maybe accept that it is anxiety.

I understand. It took me months.  Just hang in there. And if all else fails go back to your doctor and discuss everything in detail.

Yes I've felt spaced out. Feels like I'm not really here or my mind just goes blank. But for a while my heart is the most bothersome symptom. However, it's caused by anxiety so don't worry.

You've had the tests, accept that they are correct & their is no physical diagnosis for something being wrong.

They wouldn't have diagnosed you with anxiety if they had physical diagnosis. Since their is none, the cause is psychological.

Change your mindset & the way you think. Don't keep thinking the worst case scenario. Praying is the beat remedy for me but i understand if you're not religious. I used no medication, all I did was pray & my health anxiety was cured. There are plenty of Bible scriptures about fear, anxiety, & worry. They ate useless emotions. But I don't want to push religion on you lol.

If you don't want to pray or use any religious techniques. You can meditate, eat right, excersise, play video games, you know distract yourself. With a combination of all of these i cured moat of my hypochondria. I still have my moments but I realize it's a useless emotion that we have control over.

Whether you have an iillness or not, live you're life to the fullest. You've been blessed that you're still here. What I have realized is that life is it about what we go through. It's about the decisions we make & how we chose to react to those situations. Either you can be sad, depressed, & cry all the time, or you can pull your boot straps up, get up, & be strong! You got this!

    Goodluck! & God Bless. ?

My brother went through the same thing I'm going through now. He told me to pray and it worked for him. I am religious and will continue to do so. I pray that all of you feel better soon.

Exactly the same Annie. Sometimes I feel fine, then realise I feel fine, and just as quick it all comes back as if to teach me a lesson for thinking im fine! Nightmare.

    Thanks Jessixa

Everything u said makes sense. Just harder to put in practice sad

I always wanted to pray more and be closer to God but don’t really know how

I used to mediate and it did help

I understand. I wasn't that closer to him either until i needed him the most. You can start by looking up scriptures for anxiety or worry on Google & read them in the Bible.

Once you understand & get them in your head, when ever you feel anxious repeat it over & over so that you can bring your mind at ease. Also you can start by praying & speaking things into existence. Like every morning i wake up & throughout the day, I'll say, "thankyou for my peace of mind" etc. Speak things into existence as if it has already happened at it will sure put your mind at ease.

Theryre like really good mantras lol. I can give you one to start that I use sometimes.

"Be strong, be courageous. For God is with you, whoever you go"

God said that those who are weary, come to him & he will give you rest. ?
