Not LS??

Ok, so I saw a new doctor this week who has more experience with LS than my own doctor. First thing she said was that it doesn't look like LS to her.... Not really at all! What the heck? Well, I was happy to hear that, but the bad news is that she doesn't know WHAT it is! She did a culture and just called - moderate yeast. Use the cream. I've been checked for yeast so many times, always negative, so why now?

It all makes no sense to me at all... 😕

Was this a dermatologist or a gynaecologist?

It was a gynecologist. She also knows a dermatologist who specializes in vulvar issues… About an hour away from me. I may be contacting her.

Yes, that sounds like a really good idea. LS manifests so variously Dr. Goldstein said in his presentation that it could be four different diseases.

    Hi T-top

I met you over in sha's discussion...wondered how you were getting on. You were saying there that you'd had a day's break from the condition...can you remember what you did...was it fasting or were you out in nature...anything like that?

thinking of you. love Marey x

Would it be worth getting a second opinion?  I was misdiagnosed for years!

I've actually questioned whether I actually had LS for sure myself... I wasn't able to get my script for the yeast infection until this morning and I'm absolutely miserable. BURNING miserable.

Hi Marey, Thanks for asking... Yup, I did have 1 day of peace, all I remember doing was using the Protopic, then going off it for a couple of days because it was too strong, then started again and cleared up.

I have had a couple of opinions now and wish they'd all get together and have a discussion about me! 😳

that would be a good idea...can you take their various reports to each other?

are you saying the protopic worked for you? maybe minimise the use to almost an invisible amount well rubbed in....but have you tried any of the anti inflammatory recommendations such as avoiding gluten...and all grains ideally for a week or so....then exploring any other inflammatory factors that might be operating for you?

      very best wishes
