im 29 years old with advanced liver disease due to alcohol..i do not drink daily maybe my body just dont have the ability to eliminate it. im from a country that liver transplant is so expensive i don't have the money to buy medications so im not taking any,im still working even its very hard for me. i work in a ship as a seaman. what disappointing me is every year i have 2 medical check up but all of my results are ok they don't have any idea that i have this disease until last year according to my x ray and ct scan my liver is swollen so i stop drinking immediately. i dont know what to do now if i found out earlier i should have stop drinking earlier its to late for me now.i think my kidneys are failing the only symptoms i have is itching and tingling in my feet forgetfulness and confusion, slurred speech sometimes..you are lucky people your government supported you in this horrid disease..the only thing i can do now is to make my suffering short you know what i mean..every night im looking to the stars that maybe some little help falling from above and that i think its not gonna happen..

is there somebody can give me advice on this ****..coz i really dont know what to do.

Ok i do not why you cannot get any support, where do you live? The main thing you have done for yourself which is to stop drinking. Well done and under no circumstances should you again. I was diagnosed with cirhorsis but remember the liver is the only organ in the body that can repair itself. Two years on with no medical treatment my liver has repaired itself but for a little scar tissue damage which does not effect my liver function at all.

Bernie 10 - please do not give up hope. 3 months ago I was diagnosed with a Fatty Liver and had elevated liver enzymes and kidney issues. I knew I could no longer drink. Like you, my body does not process the ethanol and sugars in alcohol.

I changed my life style completely. Quit drinking, changed my diet and lifestyle. It has not been easy, but this week my follow up lab work was miraculous. Liver enzymes dropped by 50%, kidney function is normal and I do not have alcoholic hepatitis.

Please try this for 3 months and go back to your doctor for additional bloodwork.

Vitamins:ALIVE Multi-Vitamin, Milk Thistle Tablets and Flax Seed Oil tablets

Breakfast - Low Fat Vanilla Yogurt, Coconut Milk, Frozen berries, Frozen strawberries, banana and orange. Add a little ice to blender and enjoy a wonderful refreshing healthy drink.

    Mid-Morning - V8 Juice

Lunch - Any low fat protein; chicken, salmon, fish, shrimp, etc. Brown Rice and a steamed vegetable mix.

Snack - Almonds, Walnuts, Fruit and Veggies of any kind

Dinner - Large leafy salad with tomatoes, cucumbers, carrots, mushrooms - anything you like. I also add organic beets and sometimes a sliced boiled egg. Also include another low fat protein such as grilled chicken.

Make your own salad dressing. Take a small container and mix Balsamic Vinegar & Extra Virgin Olive Oil with some Mrs. Dash seasoning.

I have tried to cut processed foods out of my diet, but since it isn't always possible, I stay away from anything white - white bread, white rice, sugar, white pasta, white flour, etc. Use a whole grain bread. Use butter sparingly and try to season with Mrs. Dash.

I know this sounds hard, but once you get the hang of it, you will begin to see the difference immediately. Save money by buying frozen fruits and vegatables. If you have a counter top grilling machine, it is wonderful and quick to use on chicken, salmon, fish. Just use a Olive Oil Spray on grill before placing meat.

Drink LOTS OF WATER, preferably with lemon to detox bile ducts and liver.

I am positive in three months you and your doctor will be amazed. Mine is so proud me for getting my life in order and eating healthy. An added bonus is I lost 10 lbs.

I am from the US - but wishing you nothing but good health and happiness.
