Not sure if I have Fibro but Chiropractor has helped

Hi, I haven't been diagnosed with Fibro, however I have had a lot of the symptoms with pressure in my head and ears, also painful neck and shoulders - I get tingling and pins and needles all over my body and also restless legs - this has all been keeping me up at night - so have been wondering if this is what I have? I am also constantly tired. My neurologist said I may have an issue with my neck but MRI came back clear - since March nothing has really been done so my husband suggested going to see a Chiropractor - they did lots of tests and couldn't really find anything particularly wrong, however they did try a couple of treatments and 4 treatments later, this has eased my tingles/pins and needles, my restless leg syndrome has stopped and this has completely helped the pressure in my head - so I've been reading that seeing a Chiropractor can help with Fibro - has anyone else tried this form of treatment?

Hi I haven't tried a Chiroprator before, but may well give one a go.
Have had fibromyalgia for nearly 20 years now. Have struggled with keeping up work etc but just about manage. I too kept getting tests coming back as negative etc. I have recently started 5 HTP which is supposed to boost seretonin in your brain also supposed to reduce anxiety depression and also aid sleep. Been taking them around 2 Months now and stopped taking Amytriptyline which I had been taking for around 5 years due to not being able to sleep. So far the results seem quite promising you have to start with one and build up to 3 a night.

Wow, can't imagine how it must be for you having it for 20 years - I've been really struggling for the last 6 months! The doctor did give me some Amytriptyline tablets and they did help me sleep but didn't help overall. It was only when the neurologist said it may be issues with my neck that my husband saw an offer on Groupon for a local Chiropractor and suggested it wouldn't hurt seeing if they could help - can't believe the difference it has made. Would definitely recommend trying it though - you'll have to let me know if you try it how you get on?

Yes you get a lot of different horrible symptoms the trouble is when you go to the Drs for anything they say it's the fibromyalgia without even checking anything up. You feel like not bothering in the end. I have changed my Drs but I am afraid it was out of the frying pan into the fire , so to speak! I think in the end anything is worth a try but it get's expensive. Good Luck with it
