Not sure if I have HSV 2

I never noticed bumps around my anus. I am a gay male and was out of the country last week (no sexual intercourse during that time). I was using toilet paper which I found rough and my anus started to irritate. When I showered I felt a tingle around my anus. I decided to take a look and noticed a fissure. I'm in Miami and the doctors offices are closed due to hurricane watch. Not sure what to make it so I thought I'd ask here. I'm not feeling sick or have any painful symptoms either.

Don't touch it just in case and wash your hands with soap if you do. Doesn't look like herpes to me but when you get back home get checked might just be irritation from that rough toilet paper or even hemroids.

Doesn't really sound like herpes, as herpes would normally feel sore and swollen in sensitive parts.

Thank you. I'm now on my 7 th day with it. Still can't see a doctor as I'm in Miami. Bowel movements don't cause any pain and it's still tingling. Not sure if that's sensation one feels when it's starting to heal. Not sure if you but figured I'd ask anyway. Do fissures usually take this much time to heal?

Tingling only occurs in half of those with herpes, and could be due to other things, so I can't say whether your tingling means it's healing or not, or whether it even means it's herpes. Fissures near the anus can be slow to heal due to their location or perhaps yours is infected?
