Not sure if I have IBS....

Ok so I made a post on Monday explaining that I have bloating and gas occasionally seriously right after I eat (it gets old) just to see if anyone had similar symptoms. It mostly happens around my boyfriend for some reason but he doesn't make me nervous at all, I am comfortable with him. But then again, him and I get take out often and I rarely eat that much on my own time so unfortunately it does make sense as to why I feel that way. Anyway, I have been told that IBS is a severe condition, it can control your time and habits. Can make you rush to the restroom and be in there for a long time. That is not my case but why the symptoms of bloating and gas? I don't have constipation, it just takes me a while to go and even when I go, I still feel heavy. I have tried endless methods. Fiber intake, prune juice, pills.

I have no energy and i can not function as well.

I get the bloating and pain. I try to control my i.b.s by diet. Also my doc, gave me some colofac to see if hat helped. It did for a while but stopped working. So I went into a health food shop and explained my symptoms. They suggested evening primrose caps. And it helped me. Liz

The only thing I can think of is that bloating and wind happen when your hormones drop. You would have to mark down when throughout a few months but if it isn't??????

I've never heard that before, why do hormones drop? That could be it I don't know. I drink more water now and try to include vegetables and fiber in my diet to see if that helps. It really only happens around my boyfrined anymore which is strange like I said because I am not nervous around him. Maybe it's because I'm relaxed?
