Not sure if I have it

So I am in a fairly new relationship and have now been told I need to be tested for herpes. I had a UTI and mild yeast after sex Thursday. Thursday evening I also shaved before sex then the next few days I was in pain and had bumps. On also wants me to have blood test. I have never had outbreak before. Also have bumps around anal area but also shaved there too and usually get this way a few days after shaving so it really isn't unusual there. I am afraid to tell my partner has I have really begun to love him and what if he doesn't accept it. If my ob couldn't even for sure tell me that it is just by looking at sores then should I even be worrying. As far as I know every partner I have had is clean.

First, it may not be herpes, so wait for your swab results. Second, no symptoms does not equal "clean". Herpes can be (near) asymptomatic. Only a negative herpes IgG antibody test with no risky exposure for 3 months after testing equals clean. Lastly, even if it is herpes, did it not occur to you that you may not be the source? Who did you have sex with several days (or less) before symptoms? Just saying.

Yes I know. And know that if it is from my boyfriend that he didn't know he had it. He is away on a trip so I can't talk to him about it. Blood test isn't being done for 4 weeks and he will be back in 2 1/2 weeks not sure if I should say anything to him until I get results but I know he will want to be intimate

Also the sores I had are already going away only scabbed slightly because I pulled I few hair that were creating around it

Good that you realise it could well be your bf. I just see too many posts on here from both younger and older women who are scared to tell their partners because they fear they'll leave them, etc., when I'm sat here thinking (and will point out) that it could well be the bf who's the source! Women should not be the first to point fingers at themselves, because in some cases, it can serve to turn a partner against them before the facts are even in.
