Not sure if it is fibromyalgia.

For the past four years I have been suffering from pain (joint pain, muscle pain, migraines, stomach pain, chest pain, etc) the pain can sometimes be dull/achey, sharp, or throbbing, I also suffer from insomnia, and a general sick feeling (Nausea, weak feeling, sensitivity to touch, and fatigue) Although it does sound relatively similar to fibromyalgia, and I was diagnosed by my rheumatologist, I still have my doubts. I do not experience this pain to touch thing that so many people with fibromyalgia do experience. Also, I find that the symptoms combined make it very hard near to impossible, to attend school/work, however a lot of people with fibromyalgia are able to attend school rather continously, and hold a job. I am not sure if it is because it's something else, or my experience is just a little different, but would really appreciate someone with fibromyalgia's opinion. Also, if you do not think it is fibromyalgia, do you have any idea as to what it could be?

Hi, it could just be fibro or it could be more. I have the same problem where my pain gets that bad that some days I can't even get out of bed. I'm still not sure that what I have is just fibro either it could be more then just that. But keep getting check ups with your dr cause what ever it is is bound to show up eventually. And good luck.

Did they run blood work to rule out everything else? I had 25 vials drawn and a slew of tests done by my gp and id docs to rule out other diseases. Then has ra doc do the 18 point touch test.
