Not sure if Sertraline is the right AD for me!

Hoping i can get some advice.... i switched to zoloft after being successfully on 40 mg of celexa for 17 years for depression. Since Zoloft, i have had severe anxiety which i have never had prior to taking this med, especially while adjusting to an increase in dose. I was on 75 mg, felt good for a month, then had to increase to 100 mg, felt good for a month or so, then had to increase to 125 mg. Again, i was good for a month or so now my depression/anxiety is super bad again. Im just not sure if this is the correct med for me. i hate to start increasing the dose and have to eventully switch ( i have a MD appt in 2 weeks) as the transition is horrible for me (my heart literally pounds for 12 weeks among other symptoms!). i literally have to increase 5 mg at a time! I thought i read on the forum last year someone said if you get better but the symptoms return, that means you're not on a high enough dose. i tried lexapro which helped the depression but i was completely sedated. Can anyone help? ive been dealing with this for almost 2 years!! Could i have developed anxiety now that im 51 yo rather than thinking the zoloft has given me axiety?!

hi lauren, a couple of questions, did the celeax stop working? Also how long in total have you been on sertraline? If you are increasing every 4 weeks it is not giving your brain and body enough time to settle on that dose, it takes a good 8 to 12 weeks for each dose to fully kick in and then you should know if you need a higher dose, the other thing that might be happening, depending on how you came off of celeax, is you may also have added to the mix withdrawal symptoms
