i have been on sitroline for two years and ive never experienced any bad side effects, which is a first for me !! dont read reviews, each drug is different for the individual, you need to be taking them for a month before you make your mind up, but i give it a thumbs up ! smile

Hello everyone, i've been battling stress, anxiety & depression for years but things became worse quite rapidly recently due to my deteriorating personal circumstances, resulting in me being prescribed Sertraline 50mg.

I was very anxious about taking the tablets but knew i couldn't continue as things were. I'm currently on my 5th day and have suffered to varying degrees most of the common side effects, but even with this i can feel a slight improvement already.

I would draw comfort from the statistics, the US prescribes Sertraline over 37 million times annually and the drug has been available for nearly a quarter of a century so is a proven tool for the vast majority of people in the fight against depression etc.

I went to the doctor desperate and wanting something i could take immediately to relieve my ever more frequent panic attacks and darkening mood. Sadly unless you're hospitalised then you have to go with one of the medicinal options out there.None are a free lunch, most have side effects, some make you more docile/lethargic than others, Sertraline might not be the right fit for some but take comfort from the fact that there are many other options out there that could do the job for you.

Finally, though these what i call head games are a personal struggle, there is a great wealth of professional knowledge built up over the decades showing that our depression/anxiety/panic attacks are not unique but very common.

    Stay strong.x
