Not sure what this is???

Can anyone please tell me what this may be? Someone said it may be a stye but im unsure and not sure how to treat it. Thanks

It may be an infection of the duct in the lower corner of your eyelid where the tears drain or it may be an infection in one of the hair follicles or it may be an infection of one of the tiny glands which are all along the eye lids. These can all be called "styes"
You can try warm to hot flannel compresses...not so hot you burn yourself...be careful. The lump may come to a head and then will finally disperse pus.
If the lump keeps getting bigger with no head then you may need to see your doctor. if your eye becomes irritated then again see your doc. See your doc if any more lumps start.
If you wear contacts please leave them out while you have this. Dont keep touching the lump. You must keep your bare hands away .
You can take Ibuprofen for any pain you may feel. Hope that helps.
