Hi,

I have been having symptoms for the past 6 weeks now, some bleeding on the tissue and anal discomfort along with burning and moisture/wetness. Tonight I thought I would try and take a look and noticed some purplish bulges on straining however I'm not sure if this is normal. I had a very similar episode 2 years ago.

Any comments are appreciated.

Thanks, I wasn't sure if the purple veins around the edge were normal but there are certainly some raised veins there, maybe 2/3.

I can only see them when straining, is this normal?

      Thanks

Yes, well no...If you strain that puts extra pressure on your rear end, which leads to hemorrhoids. So last year , after a bad bout of constipation i really did a number on myself. Abeit i wasn't drinking nearly enough water, consuming enough fiber, and always straining. I ended up with 2 internal grade 2 hemorrhoids. I also became an expert 😂. I literally obsessed over this, thinking i was dying,i set out on a forever journey. Learned alot over the year. I ended up finally getting dragged by my wife and mother 😂 to a colorectal dr, and had a banding procedure. So what happens is once you got em, you'll always be prone for reoccurring. Unfortunately as we age, things get lax back there. It took me about 6 months to get back to 95%. When i say that, its because i only had 1 session, and never went back, but i certainly wasn't suffering like prior. Straining is not good. Drink at least 3lt of water, Natural fiber or supplement (metamucil) and you can also take stool softener. BUT NEVER STRAIN!! I still have off days now and again, but i also know , and realize 70-80% of Everyone will at some point get These little b******s. Hopefully this helps, and feel free to bounce anything else off, as im a resident expert in all things ass now😂
