Not sure whether PMS or steroid decrease is causing pain.

I was diagnosed with PMS two months ago. Started on 15 mg. & then rheumatologist raised it to 20 just for a few weeks as the inflammation was not coming down as fast as wanted. Did blood work & everything was back in normal range so decreased to 17.5 & now have pain in wrists & fingers. Not sure what to do. Do I stay with the decrease or go back up to 20.

You know Marilyn I would.  When all of this started with me I saw my gp first, his nurses assistant & then him again (a month).  Finally he suggested an internist (6 weeks) she suggested a neurologist (6 weeks) & finally the rheumy I am now seeing.  All & all about 4 or 5 months.  I realize now I should have been a little more assertive from the get go.  If you are in that much pain they should step in.  I believe drs. can get patients into specialists sooner.  Good luck.

Well is started mildly about 4 months ago and I went swimming and I had a really bad pain in my arm and all my joints and the doctor thought then PMR but since I had a viral infection I have the flare up from hell and now since bank holiday Easter I have been in constant pain no let up ataall

it does me in physically and mentally now and I really don't think that I can wait till 2/7/14 and it's no good trying to tell anybody how bad the pain is cos they look at you like you've got 6 heads and think oh it's only a little bit of pain but I wouldn't wish this on my worst enemy other than child molesters and murderers, why can't they have it instead?
