not throat but chest?

I have this exact same feeling, but not in my throat more in the middle of my chest?

it's doing my head in, someone said this could be globus (doctors diagnosed anxiety) but it seems that my experience is purely chest related and not throat?

Does this seem familiar to anyone? Hope someone can confirm this as I'm running out of solutons for my problem, and this one seemed perfect until I started reading that everyone else gets this in the throat only.

Hi - Meant to reply to you but posted a new experience instead see

    \"GLOBUS HYSTERICUS _ CHEST TIGHTNESS \"

I also have chest pain (or discomfort) and not throat problems. I have had endoscopy, barium swallow (both negative) and have CT scan this week. It was only last week my GP mentioned globus hystericus although I had been asking since July whether my symptoms were psychological rather than physical. However, after suffering constantly for over 4 months and being prescribed Lansoprazole and Amitriptyline I have very little relief from my symptoms and the heartburn has returned with a vengeance. I can now eat some solid food (extremely small amounts) but nothing like a meal. Drinking is also very difficult. I have lost over 20 lbs and continue to loose weight although the medical profession take my word for it as they have never weighed me.

I cannot visualise living the rest of my life with this complaint. I cannot lie down to sleep but try to sleep bolt upright and am still woken with severe heartburn two or three times each night.

I am beginning to feel really desperate now and feel the medical profession is giving me little sense of hope for a diagnosis or medication to relieve symptoms.

Is anyone else out there like me?
