Not tipical tinnitus. Doctors are not taking me serious. Is there any cure for me

I am 57 years old female. Doctors can't diagnose the problem . It is not tipical bizzing sound. It is very weird and disturbing. It is like sound of a drill and it is like this for past 8 months. When i press the right side of the head on specific spots it gets worse. It is like whole right side is numb. It is different than the feeling on the left side.
In the morning my right eye is often more dropped than left eye. Also when I swallow food it is different feeling on the right side. It is numb. Doctor proscribed me betahistin pills for circulation in the middle ear but my ear just gets plugged.

Hi Mina. I have only just joined, so I hope you have got some help or answers by now. Have you had a test for toxoplasmosis? I have not been diagnosed but believe I have it, without resistance/antibodies (hence no diagnosis). It is your mention of numbness as well as the noise that makes me think it could be connected. Your symptoms are not the same as mine, but I think every case is different, with similarities. Another thing that can involve numbness is apparently Lyme's disease. These are both common but can be hard to diagnose. I hope things have got better for you.

Hi Mina and All,
I am not an MD but PhD and have done tons of research. Tinnitus comes in several forms, objective where another person can hear it from outside your ear and subjective where only you hear it. It can be the result of a physical problem within the head or body or the result of stress, Either way it's bad. I have stapedius myoclonus according to 4 doctors the remedy for such is to cut the tendons in the middle ear. No thank you. A last resort. These tendons are causing the eardrum and stapes (little bone) to constantly vibrate. It sounds like a typewriter in your ear. It can be a defense mechanism to protect your inner ear from noises the brain considers bad. Mine is better in the quiet and worse outside or when running water or crinkling plastic. Have tried apple cider vinegar, hydrogen peroxide, there's no wax build up, and my hearing is fine. That leaves a tumor on the acoustic nerve, (not shown on head CT), vascular problems, bone deformities, cholesteatoma, Meniere's disease, 7th or 8th cranial nerve problems, or stress. We live very stressful lives these days and our brains can only take so much before symptoms develop. An MRI with gadolinium contrast can show better details than a CT scan but it is risky. The MRI is 120 decibels and the gadolinium can stay in the body causing other problems. There are hundred of lawsuits from gadolinium problems. Whether antihistamines work depends on the cause. An allergic reaction should respond to them. What works tells you the possible cause. If antihistamines work then maybe the cause is allergy. If antidepressants work, then maybe the anxiety and depressions in the brain are your cause. For some, a serotonin re-uptake inhibitor (SSRI) helps calm the brain because you don't have enough of it circulating up there where you need it. Suggest trying St John's wort or some other over the counter calming agent like Melatonin. If that helps, you're on your way toward finding your cause. Only then can you know how to deal with it from its root.

A Specialist TMJ Dentist may be able to assist. Unfortunately there are no Guarantees but a check of your Jaw and Teeth perhaps associated with low level Laser Treatment may be worth trying. Best of luck.
