Not weeing much

For the last couple of days I don't seem to be peeing much out, just small amounts at a time. Constantly feeling I need a pee most of the time. I did have a small TURP back in 2013 as was having problems then. Can anyone please help and advise me. Mark

It is very hard to say as it could be something or nothing. Usual Dr questions, sample they test. Any fevers, shivers, vomiting, how's the fluid intake, any blood, any smell the list could go on. You really do need to see a urology nurse if you have one, or maybe a consultant you have seen r are seeing. If not first call is the GP.

I don't mean to be so vague but you haven't mentioned if you had catheter of some kind. I been having urological problems for over 30 years. I'd like to advise but what ever you choose to do please don't leave it. I was very lucky and survived sepsis.. Which can occur with infections if left too long, alongside ecoli.. GP will be able to advise you. biggrin

Many thanks in getting back to me, I'm using self catheters but hurts when I try and put one in. They never put me in touch with a urology nurse but am seeing a urologist in July for my 6 month review

Hello again Mark, Okies well a urology nurse can be obtained by phoning the hospital and asking for UROLOGY PROCEDURES, they can advise you of any need on changing the types of cathters would benefit you, they can also inform you of an appropiate gel for a better insertion. Pain could be infection, or possibly scaring that can occur after periods of self-catheterising and even the possibly that you may have some level of stricture. Again this type of nurse could then refer you onto who is the best person to advise you. Also, when you tell any medical person they may ask for a output diary. Basically write on paper when you drink something then when and if possible the amount of output you get. I wish you good luck and hope this does help you somehow. Should you get fell poorly or unable to cope call 111 or go to A and E. Pam.
