Now, I have heard of Sleep Walking, but is there a "Sleep Eating"?

Hi All,

Is it even possible to Sleep Eat? I have never heard of it before, but my wife said "Les! What are you doing?" at that point I woke up in my chair. But she said it looked like I was chewing something and then going back for more. And, now I am lost....

I know I am on a lot of medication, and some are counteracters, but what happened today, I am puzzled by what I did earlier.

My wife has to care for me 24/7 now, and some of the things I do - to me is real, to anyone else they look puzzled or if I they do not agree with me, I call them liars.

Does anyone else know about this sort of thing?

Regards,

Les.

Yes it can happen. Just Google Nocturnal Sleep-Related Eating Disorder.

Well, that is something I never knew! I learn something new everyday, so to speak! I wasn't actually eating as such, just doing the movements as if I was eating and enjoying whatever it was. eek

It was like I was half-asleep and half-awake - very weird, but I do some very strange things - probably medication related, I never used to be this bad.

If it's any consolation to you Les I think it comes to us all as we get to a 'certain' age.

Just make sure that next time you do it there is something worthwhile in the fridge.

      All the best
