hi all ive been taking sertraline for the past 10 weeks now and 5 days ago i increased my dose to the highest 200mg this has caused heightened anxiety and randomly i am now getting numbness in my right leg and foot this is causing me to think something is seriously wrong, i am booked in with the gp tommorow afternoon but that feels like years away when you have anxiety so im trying to seek reassurance until then and if anyone has any similar symptoms of numb feeling in one leg and foot due to anxiety thank you

yes I’ve had the numb foot and leg many times due to my anxiety. Anxiety can give you many different kinds of symptoms. I also get a tingly feeling in my legs and feet and sometimes my arms. if you relax your self it could easily become less intense or even go away. Listen to relaxing meditations for anxiety on YouTube., Do some slow long deep breathing. Tomorrow will be here before you know it. The more anxious you are, the worse the symptoms can get. Take it easy! ❤

thats really reassuring jan thank you i have scoured the internet about numbness etc and nothing came up linking it to anxiety so i feared the worst, its reassuring to hear someone else has gone through the same its been on and off just since i increased which makes my anxiety worse anyway, hopefully the gp can give me some answers its strange what anxiety can do to us! did it take a while for the feeling to come back? 😃

      thank you

talk to your doctor about the dose it may be wrong for you. Did your doctor increase it or did you increase it yourself?
