Numb shoulder

Hi, I'm a 44 year old healthy female who gets occassional neck/ shoulder pain, usually after waking and fairly often get headaches which radiate up from my neck. This morning I woke up in pain with my upper neck and right shoulder (I'd slept on it), took paracetamol and got on with my day. At lunchtime I noticed the top of my right shoulder has altered sensation when I prod it. I can feel the poke but not sharpness. It's in the area literally at the top of my shoulder and round the posterior a little. Any thoughts? Probably a trapped nerve? Any advice? I'm a bit of a worrier, googler and stress head (front line in hospital). Thanks so much x

    hi Jess,

sounds like frozen shoulder onset to me. i had it 3 years ago and it started with a burning feeling on my left side breast and move up to my left shoulder. later i told that getting frozen shoulder was another sign your body is going thru perimenapause.

you should get it checked out but the pain can last months or a year. and it can come back .
