I am 27yr old female. It all started 2 months ago

with numbness and pain in wrist. Later in following week s I developed numbness and tingling feeling on lips, face ,forehead, knees with light sensitivity and headaches. I also had crawling, vibrating body parts and pricking sensation at that time. I googled this and it led me to MS. I had clear brain and cspine MRI. I met two neuro surgeon and 1 MS specialist. All three ruled out MS and told me it could be anxiety. Can anxiety cause all this. Also since 2 days I have numbness on right breast. Its scaring gell out of me. Please tell me if anxiety and stress can cause this?

I have experienced the tingling and numbness as well. I have spoken with my doctor about it and she states that it’s anxiety as well. If you are consciously breathing or breathing rapidly.. it is easy to start hyperventilating even if you don’t notice it. It happens to me all the time, and I agree with you that it is very scary. My best recommendation would be to try changing your thought process about it, the best thing that I have found that sounds silly is to in my head just count. And keep counting till you start feeling better. Hope this helps a little.

Yes, def! The breathing is a big thing I think for me too, like you said. I noticed when I read up on it, it is amazing how much is out there about the importance of proper breathing techniques. So I try to remember that as well. I would definitely count in my head, I hope I can focus that long smile. Maybe it will help me sleep tonight, too smile

I completly understand. I find myself feeling the same way very often and have found that Usually it’ll pass with time. Ur keeping my mind busy when I can’t breathe has been the most effective.

      Thanks Merissalynn.

How long did you face this issue. Were you able to come out of it.

Its hard to concentrate at work with all these symptoms. I still feel like I have some terrible disease like MS. Even after numerous consultations woth docs.

Have you experienced numbness coing and going in areas all over body.
