numbness on left side, severe anxiety?

Hello, I recently posted on here about my health anxiety. I went to the doctor today complaining of severe jaw/ear pain, and numbness on the left side of the body. I started having a panic attack at the doctor and things just went horrible. I am scheduled to have a CAT scan to make sure i don’t have a tumor which now i am completely convinced I have. I am now feeling some tingling in my left hand and pain in left leg. I cannot sleep or eat. I feel like i’m living in hell. I’ve had numbness before due to anxiety but never this bad and the jaw pain scares me as well

The tingling is completely normal with anxiety, when you have anxiety all your muscle tense up, some more than others. I used to clench my jaw and not notice which can cause jaw pain on just one side or both.

Hi , just wanted to say I’m glad you went to a Dr and had test done that being said I’ve had the same symptoms of numbness due to stress as well, it’s a common symptom. Please keep us posted, good luck with everything

Any updates? Ive had numbness in my right arm for weeks now, along with chest tightness. I have extreme anxiety and I am tired of feeling like this. I am also terrified to go to the hospital with all this going on.

I am also suffering from numbness/tingling going on a week now. dr sent me to a&e to rule out anything serious and all tests came back fine. the numbness started in left shoulder and leg then travelled into left torso and in the last 2 days over to the right leg. spoke to another doctor who suggested it may be stress and anxiety related as have had time off work recently due to bereavement. wasnt sure if stress could affect people in this way but after finding this thread it seems a likely explanation. any idea how long it could last though as its affecting my day to day life
