Your blood giving will not have caused your numbness, I would imagine the pint of blood you have given would have recouped itself in a matter of one hour after your tea and bikis. However I am understanding you gave blood in the UK.

You need to get this nimbness checked if you do not suffer from Anxiety. In fact have it checked to put your mind at rest.

Never, never read up conditions on Google it just makes matters worse and you will be very ill because of what you have read

My condition surfaces with numbness and it is part of nerve and tendon damage.

In this case ask your GP and accept His diagnosis

i donated in the US and they told me i was the "perfect" candiaite for "power red" in which they take out 2 pints of red blood cells and return back to me my plasma. a week later i was in the ER because i was anemic. i am feeling better as far as my iron defieincy is conserned im just a wreck becaue i googled my numbness symptoms and it was the worst thing for me to do. i have dealt with anxiety for a few years but its never been this bad. i went to the ER a few days ago for the numbness and they even did a CT scan and evrrything was fine. im about 99% sure its my anxiety im just wondering if anyone has had these symtpoms before, of numbness that doesnt really go away. god willing its going to get better. im mentally exhausted as this point.

I would never trust someone if they took two pints of blood even when they return the plasma, this could be the reason why you are short of iron in your blood.

I suffer numbness although in my case it is caused by my PsA , I take an AD to deal with this and pins and needles. You need to see your GP and discuss this condition. Also explain the Blood Transfusion Service and how they extract the bloods. I would not go back if they did that to me.

If you are suffering anxiety discuss that as well

Hey there and I'm sorry that you're suffering from anxiety too. I experience numbness and tingling all the time. Sometimes my leg gets numb, sometimes my hand and I was so freaked out I have MS. But the symptoms change every few days so I know it's my anxiety but deep down I'm still freaking out. Try to distract your mind and you'll see how the symptoms will go away.this will convince you it's all in your head. We're on the same boat here, don't worry, hang in there! Best of luck and keep us updated!

      Hey girl,

It's amazing what anxiety can do. I'm hoping and praying I'm okay. I think all the stress is now starting to affect my vision😩 It's making me a nervous wreck idk what else to do. I'm so scared about ms it's driving me nuts. I had gone to the ER for the numbness and they did a CT it was fine so I'm just trying not to push it. I know an MRI is used to rule out ms but I don't even think getting the MRI will even let me anxiety accept it at this point. I'll just keep pushing for more and more I'm just trying to ignore it and put it in my head that this is anxiety nothing more.

Doesnt sound like MS. You can scratch that off the list. You can see a nuerologist and ask why so much tingling he will examine you amd that should clear up most of your concerns. Numbness and tingling is extremly common to anxiety.

Taking wo pints of blood is unacceptable no matter how much the people paid you etc.

In the UK blood is checked prior to donating ONE pint. If there are any problems then the blood will not be taken from the Donor!

Some people may faint after giving one pint of blood. If that happens then I think the advice is not to donate again.I stand to be corrected however on that point.

Tingling and numneess merits a blood test to check for any form of anaemia especially B12 anaemia also known as pernicious anaemia.

This is important and is easily treatd with Vitamin B12 injections .

The minimum accepted value is around 750 .

it may be one or two things it could be first of all numbness usually suggests something to do with the nerves do you have a trapped nerve somewhere? I say this as I had a trapped sciatic nerve for eighteen months causing numbness? or my daughter suffers from pernicious anemia and a couple of weeks before her injection is due her hands and fingers and feet go numb these are maybe two things causing the numbness but Im not a doctor just know that both my daughter and i  had different conditions that leads to numbness. when we get anxious we look for the worse and believe me when I went through my anxiety every little twinge or pain I had was the worst case scenario and its the anxiety that causes this dont google anything or you will have everything going and dont take what I have suggested as gospel as im just explaining my experience go to your doctor first and let them do some tests even just to put your mind at ease my love

I had the exact symptoms in my 20s.  Thought I had MS TOO.  I did not have it.  Was all anxiety symptoms!   Do not google symptoms!

what you need to do is follow up with your doctor to find out for sure what is going on.  Anxiety symptoms are same or similar to symptoms of other conditions so try to relax.  When your tests are normal, start working on managing the anxiety. See a counselor, exercise, get busy!!
