my son got diagnosed at a couple of months old as having nysagmus he has just turned 5 and I've just had his recent eye test results now I know he's eyesight isn't great been told it's logmar 0.5 in both eyes but I don't quite understand it and after having a school saying his eye site don't effect him when myself and medical professionals no different I was just wondering if someone could explain what logmar 0.5 means and what additional support I can get in place for him for when he starts a new school as I ended up removing him from school for several reasons. he already has a nysagmus specialist involved and they are fully aware of the situation and that no one was helping him the way that he should be getting help and didn't get statmened for extra support like they were ment to.
