OAB after prostate BPH procedure or surgery generally

Quick recap: 2 months ago I had a greenlight enucleation. Been happy that the obstruction is removed but 2 remaining issues:

  1. one of which is higher urgency than before operation and no improvement on frequency (urge happens at 45 min and can hold until 75 min to 90 min depending on liquid intake).
  2. 10 to 20 seconds of transient pain at the end of urination near bladder neck/spincther as it closes down

for #2) I believe my urologists when she says my bladder was so used to fighting obstruction for many years that it mini-spasms with extra force at the end of my urination. this is one reason sometimes when i have a fuller bladder the pain is less than when i have a trickle. has anyone seen this resolve over time --ie does the bladder learn to ease out. seems like OAB medication like myrbetriq does help with this spasm.

for #1) it's funny sometimes if I need to go and I walk into a bathroom, I barely can contain myself and drop my trousers like literally as I'm steps away from the urinal and penis feels like it needs to blow. i don't remember having this heightened level of urgency where I couldn't hold it before. it doesn't matter if i'm not even peeing 100ml or 200ml, sometimes the urge is just huge. i've had the keys in the front door problem once and running water a little too. this seems to be getting more intense in weeks 4 through 8 of recovery. the myrbetriq also takes some of the edge of this urgency feeling. looking to hear from others if they had this. for 2 or 3 years in my bph, i did not have frequent need to go but the last 18 months I did have moderate to high "detrusor overactivity", at one point feeling the need to pee all the time and waking up over 10 times a night. i guess in my reading of research, surgical outcomes for those that get to that point are not as good for resolution of this symptom and somewhere near 75% have this afterwards.

Looking to hear from others what their experience has been like with OAB after TURP, HOLEP or other procedure, and whether there was OAB/frequency before. I'm hoping this resolves but seems rather permanent and more a consequence of waiting as long as I did to do something about it.

Seeing a pelvic floor PT about it this week.

Thanks in advance.
