Obsessed by cancer?

Please help.

I have had some symptoms for a while, and a pharmasicst I saw said it was IBS, but no IBS relief or dietary changes have helped, after googling (bad, I know) it came up with ovarian or stomach cancer.

I am only 15 and I get easily fixated on thoughts, so I know that I don't have cancer, but I can't shake the thought that I might. I hear people talking about it, I dream about, and even though I'm tired to exhaustion, I wake up in sweat thinking about it

How can I stop this?

ssured that IBS if triggered by stress/anxiety can and will hang around no matter what medication you take, until you manage to get your stress levels under control. I have suffered this way on and off for 17yrs even the doctor originally felt I had a more serious problem, it was so bad in the beginning that I couldnt even leave the house for weeks, had to be near a loo 24/7 and I lost weight, had awful pain at night, and 20 mins after eating anything I had to run to the loo, so you see the symptoms are very real, but brought on by stress/worry/anxiety. Please go and talk to your doctor, it may be something else such as celiac(gluten intolerance) or Lactose,. Sometimes are fears are more scary than the truth, go see your doc, see a lady if you can, they tend to be more understanding of anxiety, Please tell them exactly how you feel, also try to identify what if anything is causing you stress, see if you can find some solutions. I will add though if this is IBS it will calm down, but you will find it will probably rear its ugly head on and off all your life, usualky though not as bad as the first bout, . Good luck hun, you will be fine x

You need to see a therapist. If you could have stopped it by now you would have.

I am the same way. The difference is I am twice your age. I doubt you have cancer. It's rare to have stomach or ovarian cancer at your age. Maybe anxiety is causing your stomach problems.
