Occipital Neuralgia...

Has anyone ever had Occipital Neuralgia as a result of the MVD surgery for TN? I had my surgery on 1/23/17 and now have been diagnosed as having Occipital Neuralgia which causes pain and burning at the back of my head. Ugh the TN pain was gone immediately after the surgery but now I'm dealing with this. I tried accupuncture and physical therapy which didn't provide any relief. Yesterday I got a nerve block in the Greater and Lesser Occipital nerves and it is already wearing off. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated! Thanks

Yes, I have this pain. I've got that 20 years ago with MVD, AND nothing help me, after the surgery my first pain I mean TN's pain in my face got worse and I found occipital Neuralgia too.

I have done an occipital nerve block, acupuncture, meditation therapy, every thing that The Doctors told me.

now, I dealt with them and I do not want to think about any surgery, just taking medication. WITH ALL THESE Medications, I STILL HAVE CONSTANT PAIN BUT LESSER.  I just used to it, but I hope yours be different from me and you get better. best wishes and GOOD LUCK.
