Ocular migraines

are these occular migraines normal during menopause? i had one today and it has frightened me. i had a few 20 years ago so i new what it was. im very scared of having another one.

Yes, I've also suffered with Ocular Migraines during menopause, was so scared when I first had one, thought I was having a stroke. Mine lasts about 10-15 mins without a headache, have one every few months. Read that its linked to fluctuating oestrogen levels

i have terrible health anxiety so have spent all day worrying. i hope it doesnt return as i couldnt stand to have it every day. thanks for the advice

Omgoodness yes, just had a bad one today. Started having these when I was pregnant and then they would come every so often and then they eased off and I would only get them maybe every couple of yrs and they were not so full on . Today I got one while out. Had to sit in the car for 45mins before being able to see ok again. Then had a bad headache all day. Usually I don't get a bad headache and just a mild dull ache. I also have been having ibs symptoms after them. They suck and are frightening and they just come out of nowhere. I get so much anxiety with these. I feel awful and drained.
