Odd period

My obgyn put me on birth control almost 11 months ago to help with the my cysts. My period was nonexistent until June. I had bleeding from the second week in June until the first days in July. It was light some days and extremely heavy others. Some days I would only have an off colored discharge, similar to what you get at the end of a period. I had not had period since then until last week. It lasted about three days and was average bleeding for me. I got it again today and it is heavy. Has anyone else experienced this? Should I be concerned?

    I did the depo shot one time because i had a light period for at least 6 weeks. Birth control can effect your eriods but i would think your body would have adjusted by now. Call your obgyn to see what else they can offer you.

      Okay. Thank you for the response. I wanted to make sure I wouldn't be over reacting if I called the doctor.
